The Woes of Learning to Record Audio

September 5, 2026

It was 12:15am when I first tried recording an audio recitation of Stress and Strain.

I tried singing.

I have learned the following lessons:

  • I was insecure about my recorded voice
  • Singing requires a bit of volume to come out well.
  • Midnight in a crowded condominium complex isn't a great place to belt lyrics.

Future recordings are going to require some intentional planning.

I'm going to try recording in my car, in empty parking lots late at night.

If you never see another update to this site, know that I probably met my end in a late night altercation somewhere.

This is the alt text, make sure it isn't a lazy description, blind people view this as part of the experience.
